Cyber Security Engineer (Forescout and ACAS focus)

Suffolk, VA

Our client is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).

This role is 100% onsite.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develops and maintains real-time monitoring solutions leveraging Forescout C2 and ACAS to assess and respond to security incidents and network vulnerabilities
• Leads the deployment and integration of Forescout C2 across DoD environments, automating endpoint visibility and control for enhanced network security in compliance with C2C policy standards
• Leads the implementation, management, and optimization of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) for DoD networks, ensuring compliance with DISA STIGs and continuous monitoring to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities
• Provides oversight of network vulnerability assessments using Tenable/Nessus

Certifications (IAT Level II)

One of the following:

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
• RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist

And

• Functional area certification (required prior to start date)

Required Skills

• At least 6 years of experience with data design in a consulting or internal role, defining data strategy and architectures while developing and mentoring staff at all levels to build and deliver high quality and highly innovative simulation services.
• At least 5 years of experience related to DoD major systems or programs.

Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment
