Apex Systems has multiple openings available for an IT Specialist in support of an exciting new effort supporting one of our clients that is responsible for unifying the direction of cyberspace operations, strengthening DoD cyberspace capabilities, and integrating and bolstering DoD's cyber expertise. We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional with a strong background in communications systems and operational support. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining critical systems, supporting emergency actions, and ensuring the seamless operation of video teleconferencing and communications infrastructure. Location: Ft. Meade, MD (Fully Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with a CI Polygraph
Key Responsibilities:
• Resolves technical problems and answers queries by telephone in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
• Diagnoses, identifies, isolates and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records.
• May route calls to product line specialists.
• Maintains and updates records and tracking databases.
• Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Technology, with demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
○ Establishing Video Teleconference (VTC) systems.
○ Supporting emergency activities and providing situational awareness of the environment.
○ Performing routine and emergency actions and communications.
○ Supporting Operations Center activities, including voice communication, message routing, and voice/video conference configuration and operation.
○ Maintaining and controlling systems that project on Knowledge Walls.
○ Scheduling and operating VTC and POLYCOM teleconferences.
○ Identifying the operational status of equipment and infrastructure (fully operational, partially operational, or not operational).
○ Performing minor troubleshooting and initiating appropriate notification procedures for outages or degradations, including submitting trouble tickets based on checklists and SOPs.
• Proven ability to manage VTC systems and support emergency communications.
• Familiarity with Operations Center protocols and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting expertise.
