Job Description:
This exciting hands-on role focuses on developing and implementing modern enterprise platform strategies within a secure government environment (Secret Clearance Required). As an Enterprise Architect, you will be at the forefront of platform design, security architecture, data strategy, and compliance to support mission-critical systems.
The project involves architecting and securing modern platforms, data pipelines, and APIs while ensuring compliance with CMMC, NIST, and DoD standards. You will define a scalable and secure data architecture, oversee data ingestion and transformation pipelines, and ensure cybersecurity best practices across the platform.
Responsibilities:
• Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on CMMC and NIST compliance best practices.
• Architect and implement comprehensive security plans, verifying controls align with CMMC, NIST, and DoD security frameworks.
• Define and document the enterprise data architecture, outlining best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and governance.
• Guide and implement strategies for securing APIs, including transitioning public APIs to private APIs.
• Implement and manage authorization policies using Open Source Authorization (OSO) or similar policy engines.
• Support Zero Trust Architecture principles, ensuring secure access to platform resources and data.
• Oversee platform integration and cloud security strategies across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Participate in government security assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with federal security mandates.
• Architect scalable, secure, and flexible data solutions to support analytics, AI/ML, and operational reporting.
• Oversee data ingestion from multiple sources, including APIs, structured/unstructured data, and real-time event streams.
• Design and implement modern data platforms that support data lakes, data mesh, and analytics frameworks.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance standards align with DoD compliance requirements.
• Work closely with data modelers and engineers to optimize data pipelines for efficiency and performance.
• Develop strategies for self-service data access, ensuring secure and role-based permissions for data consumers.
• Architect cloud-based solutions with GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure, focusing on secure data platforms and workflows.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure automation, ensuring scalability and compliance.
• Optimize cloud storage, processing, and networking for high-performance data applications.
• Ensure cost-effective and compliant infrastructure deployment across government environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
• Expertise in API security, access control, and compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST, DoD security requirements).
• Experience with Open Source Authorization (OSO) or similar policy engines for access control.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.
• Hands-on experience with Python for automation, data processing, and system integration.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Google Workflows, BigQuery, and Bigtable is a strong plus.
• Experience in architecting API integration solutions, including building API driven platform integrations within secure environments.
• Strong data architecture knowledge, including data ingestion, modeling, and governance frameworks.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including data lakes, real-time streaming, and data warehouse solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience leading technical discussions and working in a client-facing capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in cloud security architectures (GCP, AWS GovCloud, Azure), Google BigQuery, BigTable, Dataflow, etc.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust architectures and advanced identity/access management solutions.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity measures related to API security, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
