Position: VxRail Administration - Post Deploy Support - SME

Clearance Requirement: Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment #clearance

Location: Hanscom AFB, MA

Estimated Duration: The client approximates that this project may last up to 2-4 months. However, there is no guarantee of employment for any length of time.

Pay Rate Range: $80-85/hr

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be stationed at Hanscom and will be responsible for providing remote support, guidance, and answering questions as Tundra deploys the VXRail clusters at multiple sites.

While hands-on deployment isnt the SMEs responsibility, familiarity with the following is beneficial:
  • Basic VXRail administration and deployment processes.
  • VMware vSphere and vSAN for managing and supporting the virtualized environment.
  • Remote troubleshooting and support tools to effectively guide the on-site team.
  • Understanding of networking and storage configurations relevant to VXRail deployments.

The focus is on the ability to support, advise, and troubleshoot rather than direct deployment.

Requirements:

Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment

The ideal candidate should have basic VXRail administration and configuration experience, including:
  • Deploying VXRail clusters and configuring VMware vSphere and vSAN.
  • Basic troubleshooting and guidance on configuration changes to support the deployment team.
  • Understanding of remote administration, as they will be guiding Tundra's team rather than performing on-site tasks.

The role focuses on providing remote expertise and support, so the candidate should be comfortable with:
  • Answering configuration questions, assisting with best practices, and troubleshooting issues that arise during deployment.
  • Communicating technical guidance clearly to a remote team.

The emphasis is on advisory and support capabilities rather than hands-on implementation.
