Job Overview:
Creek Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Services Expert to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of distributed relational databases and associated Business Intelligence (BI) systems. In anticipation for this position, the ideal candidate will have significant expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, business intelligence tools such as SSRS, Power BI, and experience with securing SQL environments in compliance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).

Creek Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Services Expert to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of distributed relational databases and associated Business Intelligence (BI) systems. In anticipation for this position, the ideal candidate will have significant expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, business intelligence tools such as SSRS, Power BI, and experience with securing SQL environments in compliance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and maintain distributed relational databases and BI systems using Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
- Utilize SQL Server tools including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS to design and implement data management and reporting solutions.
- Secure SQL Server environments according to DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) to ensure compliance and data protection.
- Administer and optimize SQL Server instances, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability within a client/server architecture.
- Develop business object models, implement relational database designs, and manage SQL Server configurations and optimizations.
- Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights based on complex datasets.
- Lead database and BI system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and resolution of technical issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Potential candidates should possess requisite certifications that meet IAT Level II requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the development and deployment of distributed relational databases and BI systems.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with the Microsoft SQL Server stack (MSSQL), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience securing SQL environments in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in SQL Server configuration management, optimization, administration, and development in client/server architecture, including business object modeling and relational database design using MS SQL Server.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, including designing, developing, and deploying Power BI reports and dashboards.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, or similar are a plus.
