- Job Title: Java Backend / Linux Software Engineer
- Location: ** 100% Remote **
- Contract Layout: Est. "12 Month Contract to Permanent Hire"
- Contract Pay: $72.00 - $80.00 / Hourly Rate
- Starting Salary at Perm Hire: $145,000 - $155,000 + Full Benefits
- Interview Process: 1 Round Technical Video Interview
*** REQUIREMENTS ***
- Secret Security Clearance (Eligibility)
- 5+ Years of Experience with Software Development/Engineering for Software Applications.
- Skilled in Agile development frameworks
- Java Backend Development Heavy Experience
- KPAs Experience with RDBMS such as Sybase or Oracle Preferred
- Skilled in C/C++, Java, SQL, Bash, Maven, and Make
- Experience developing SOAP and RESTful Web Services
Experience with Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to flexible enough to step in and start asking the write questions of the SMEs and developers of
what goes on behind the scene
- Expectation is after they hit ground they can start slinging code as soon as possible
- High up tempo venture where they are going to be happy about hitting timelines
- Java heavy and will be on the back end of things
- They want experience with all KPAs and Sybase and oracle are the preferred method
- SQL server is going to be secondary and when converting code they may use SQL as the database
- More than likely going to be BASH scripting on a day to day basis
Role
- Scope of the Linux work
- Want someone who can drift from one to the other but someone who can wear multiple hats
DevSecOps
- Not working within the cloud but they hope to move to the cloud. Using it to move to an Agile
environment
- Also want to include transforming code to Java and someone who has experience with refactoring
- Want to rewrite code within the first 155 days
