Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Fort Liberty
Duration: 6-month Contract-Hire
Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000 Conversion Salary
Responsibilities:
- Design server and application architectures.
- Perform administrative operations and maintenance of server hardware and software.
- Maintain system security and execute practices and procedures.
- Monitor usage statistics and logs.
- Monitor and remedy attempts to penetrate or corrupt server files.
- Provide technical support for enterprise-level systems and services, from planning and design through deployment.
- Engage in systems infrastructure engineering design, enterprise architecture standards, prototyping, and integration.
- Participate in concept development, planning, requirements definition and analysis, systems design, integration, and deployment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Certification: DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred).
Scripting and Automation:
- Strong experience with scripting languages and automation.
- Create or modify custom scripts and code using scripting languages (PowerShell).
- Automate deployment of applications, system configurations, and security settings.
- Perform native systems administration functions using scripting in Windows and Linux environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of systems engineering activities.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and briefing skills.
- Shows tact, effective listening skills, and follow-through.
Work Ethic: Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission-critical environment.
Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work.
Leadership: Provides technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers.
