Test Engineer
Location: United States-Maryland-Linthicum
Shift: 3rd shift: 9pm-6am
Clearance: No clearance required, but preferred
We are seeking a Test Engineer to support on-site test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program. This role involves executing test scripts for the verification of software, hardware, and system requirements for applications in space. An understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS; programming and scripting skills; and working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is desired.
Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities:
• Execute test scripts for the verification of software, hardware, and system requirements.
• Understand and work with RF systems, including RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS.
• Utilize programming and scripting skills.
• Operate RF test equipment such as Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Power Meters.
Must-Haves:
Basic Qualifications:
• BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); or HS diploma with at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor systems, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance, or military control room console operator; or defense industry work experience with sensor systems, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance.
• Willingness to work dedicated 3rd shift for several months continuously

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test.
• Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment.
• Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code.
• Scripting in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
• TS or SCI for future opportunities.
