Job Title: Network Installs Engineer/Administrator
Location: Ft Liberty, NC (50%-75% travel required)
Job Description:
The Network Installs Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for the planning, installation, configuration, operations, maintenance, documentation, and coordination of network services. This role involves working closely with the customer's network engineers to ensure that all installed/LCR equipment is documented within the Network Monitoring System, Network Configuration Manager (NCM), and Access Control System (ACS).
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting off-site surveys, installations, configurations, maintenance, documentation, hardware support, and testing at both CONUS and OCONUS locations as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Certifications:
CCNA (desired, not required)
DoD 8570 IAT Level II (required)
ITIL v3 Foundation (preferred)
Technical Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of network operations
Experience with Inside Plant (ISP) installation standards
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills, including tact, effective listening, and follow-through
Ability to provide clear written documentation on network diagrams
Effective interaction with staff from other sections on complex client/server problems
Other Skills:
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to understand network evaluation criteria and provide precise assessments
Adherence to network protocols and methodology
Qualifications:
2-5 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design
TS/SCI clearance required
Willingness to travel approximately 50%-75% of the time
