The Program Manager role at Creek Technologies focuses on instructional system design (ISD), adult learning, and educational content development within a Department of Defense or related organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordination with DISCS Personnel: The Program Manager will need to work closely with DISCS staff, which implies a high level of collaboration and communication.
  • Managing Contractor Personnel: The person will be responsible for managing contractors working on educational content, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Course Content Design & Development:
    • Assist subject matter experts (SMEs) in developing training materials, both for classroom and online formats.
    • Utilize Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles, which are critical to creating effective and efficient educational programs.
    • Focus on immersion and scenario-based training, which involves creating real-world situations in training to improve learning outcomes.
  • Agile Development Environment:
    • Manage a cross-functional team in an agile development environment, which could involve rapid prototyping of training modules and frequent updates to the curriculum.
    • The team will work on multi-media modalities for content delivery, such as e-learning platforms, simulations, and other forms of interactive learning.
  • Security and IT Requirements:
    • Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance or possess an Interim Secret Clearance.
    • The Program Manager will be provided with a government computer and must maintain eligibility for a government network account (AFNET).

Required Skills:
  • Leadership in Cross-Functional Teams: Must have experience managing teams that specialize in adult learning design, especially in complex, multimedia, and agile environments.
  • Expertise in Instructional Systems Design (ISD): A strong working knowledge of ISD principles, especially those related to immersion and scenario-based learning.
  • Collaboration with Clients: Experience working closely with clients, especially in designing and developing educational or training content.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven ability to lead projects in education/training development, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Experience in Military/DoD Education: Understanding of formal military training programs and experiences with LMS platforms, particularly Blackboard.
  • Security Cooperation Knowledge: Familiarity with the security cooperation community is required, likely referring to international defense training and collaboration.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, instructional design, military studies, etc.).
  • Four years of experience in leading full-spectrum learning design and development, which could include managing teams, designing courses, or evaluating training programs
