Description:
Waypoint's client seeks a Level Data Scientist / Full Stack Developer . This role will play a critical role in advancing National Security Group (NSG) initiatives by developing and refining automated systems, data-driven models, and workflow automations. This role focuses on optimizing operational performance and supporting intelligence integration and information sharing. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in data science, geospatial software applications, and programming tools, as well as experience handling large, complex datasets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automated collection models, dynamic analytic models, and workflow automations to support NSG strategies.
• Identify and recommend potential improvements in collection assignments using data-driven forensic processes.
• Continuously refine and enhance automated solutions by evaluating performance data, interacting with customers, and following a standardized maintenance cycle.
• Apply data science and visual programming techniques to streamline analysis tasks and address intelligence challenges.
• Enhance technical solutions related to intelligence integration, automated collections, tipping and cueing, information sharing, and data visualization.
• Perform extensive collection and analytical modeling, including data processing and visualization .

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in common geospatial software applications and tools, such as:
  • Python programming (required).
  • Visual programming tools like JEMA, FADE/MIST, ECO/ETAS.
  • AWS Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker).
  • ESRI ArcGIS.
• Experience with databases and data processing tools such as SQL and Git.
• Statistical modeling and methods, including Bayesian statistics, Markov-Chain modeling, linear algebra, NLP, and TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with R and SAS for data analysis.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Desirable experience as a Source Analyst or in Collection Management
• Design and deliver a data-driven forensic process to identify and address potential improvements in collection assignments.
• Provide technical solutions to improve intelligence integration and operational performance.
