Junior Procurement Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize GCSS-Army to purchase USG directed material
• Collaborate with procurement officers, contracting officers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, assess procurement needs, and support the development of procurement plans and strategies
• Support contract negotiations and contract administration activities by providing analysis, recommendations, and documentation to ensure compliance with contract terms and condition
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, systems, and tools by providing feedback, participating in process reviews, and recommending enhancement
• Monitors performance of suppliers.
• Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and market dynamics.
• Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends and maintains necessary records.
• Other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 years related experience
• High School Diploma, Bachelorette preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• English professional fluency, preferred. Ability to speak, read and write to appropriate and consistently communicate in English, preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain RSO Vetting Security Clearance
• Ability to successfully pass any employment related drug screening and background security check

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
