Job Description: Network Engineer (SD-Wan)
Location: 4 days onsite at APG
Duration: 12 month contract (Potential for extension)
Position Overview: The successful applicant will be performing work on US Government classified environments and therefore must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil. The successful applicant must have a current US Government Secret Clearance.
What You'll Do:
-Build and maintain consultative/trusted advisor relationships with clients.
-Perform problem analysis and act as a technical specialist for complex deployments, providing highest-level crisis management.
-Demonstrate proven technical project management skills.
-Deliver strong technical presentations to all levels, especially to Cisco and customer senior management.
-Exhibit leadership and mentoring skills.
-Influence senior levels in Cisco and customer organizations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.
- Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues.
- Contribute to Virtual Teams.
- Provide ad hoc systems/product knowledge transfers.
- Assist in the generation of standard project documentation, including test plans.
- Assist in the generation of network configurations from Low Level Design.
- Assist in the execution of project delivery, including network staging, implementation, and handover.
- Assist in Network Upgrade and Migration Activities.
- Assist customers with the deployment of medium complexity tools and related Network Management Systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience with a CCNP or a CCNA Enterprise.
- Strong hands-on focus in SD-WAN, R/S, Data Center, large-scale network design, deploying, and maintaining networks.
- CCNP certification or equivalent experience. CCIE is highly desirable or demonstrated equivalent.
- Must have DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to adapt to different customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client-facing experience.
