In this role you will translate system requirements into software, perform software design, and implement software applications and features in an Agile environment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform software development using Java and C++
- Conduct advanced analysis and provide actionable intelligence to support mission objectives through software development & cross-functional collaboration
- Debug existing software and correct defects
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standard and write & review documentation
- Design and code new software by identifying new software solution areas
- Modify existing software to add new feature or to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance
- Integrate existing software into new or modified operating systems
- Develop & implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design
- Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs / work type
- Strong programming background in JAVA and C/C+
- Active TS/SCI Polygraph Clearance.
- Experience in a Linux & Agile environment
- Experience with at least one of the following: Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, and/or Eclipse.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university (equivalent additional experience (4+ years) can be substituted for degree requirement)
- Experience with front-end web development technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS.
- DevOps or DevSecOps experience (CI/CD, containerization, etc.)
- AWS experience or certifications
