POSITION SUMMARY
The G uard /ESS Operator will be responsible for controlling access to the facility by verifying identification of all entrants, inspection IDs, and denying access to unauthorized individuals. They will log authorized visitors, conduct vehicle inspections, issue passes, and ensure proper escorts within the facility. Regular communication checks, proper use of force, and utilization of metal detectors for security screening are also required .

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work conducted in busy and classified operating environments. Work hours may vary between 8-12 hours per day, including extended, holiday, and/or weekend hours. Must maintain necessary physical dexterity and stamina, including walking under various weather and terrain conditions, pursuit of intruders over rough and hazardous terrain, and immediate action in emergencies. Perform duties in both hot and cold atmospheres while wearing heavy duty equipment and PPE. Work may be inside or outside, requiring the ability to sit or stand at a computer and monitor alarms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Perform all physical duties as a contract security guard, including lifting/moving heavy objects, standing outdoors for prolonged periods, and withstanding exposure to weather conditions. Respond during elevated threats, attacks, exercises, and/or drills. Physical tasks include lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, or moving objects up to 150 pounds. Intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, walking, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and handling work-related supplies and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure s assigned guard post s are properly manned and monitor the performance of assigned duties
- Perform s static installation access control, perimeter security, roving security patrols, and intrusion detection system monitoring to include Electronic Surveilence Systems (ESS)
- Valid ate Security related functions associated with the protection of U.S. Government installations, materials, property, and personnel
- Ensure s all post and general orders and procedures are followed, including special instructions or information
- Communicates with Guard Shift Leader and Operations Center to report incidents and emergencies, and interact professionally with clients and their representatives
- Conduct s inspections of work-related equipment and informs leadership of any deficiencies and/or technical issues
- Adheres to DoD policies and procedures on safeguarding classified information, personnel access control, communications security, and technical security; maintains all relevant computer accounts and accesses in support of the project
- Attends daily training, guard shift change procedures (guard mount) to maintain mission readiness
- Adheres to and actively supports company policies, procedures, standards, safety guidelines, and site directives
- Utilize s company provided vehicle(s) for authorized purposes
- Provides site security escort services for visitors and/or authorized personnel
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be between 20-55 years of age at the time of hire
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years' experience in security, law enforcement administration, or operations experience in the Armed Forces, civilian police, or commercial security agencies within the past eight ( 8 ) years
- S uccessful completion of a basic or advanced security guard training/certification program administered or recognized by the host nation or other professional organizations
- Must be familiar with applicable U.S. military regulations and host nation (Germany) laws
- Must have a Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI and CI- Poly based on a SSBI
- Ability to pass all medical and physical requirements outlined in Army Regulation ( AR ) 190-56
- Meet all standards of the IRP as required by AR 190-56
- Must be able to speak, read, understand, and write English
- Must successfully complete all US Government and contractor provided training
- Must pass initial and recurring scheduled and/or unscheduled drug tests in accordance with ( IAW ) AR 190-56
- Strong administrative knowledge including Outlook, Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, database, and reports management
PHYSICAL FITNESS
- Physically capable of performing assigned guard duties as defined by guard orders
- Successful complet ion of a physical fitness test, including 1-mile run in under ten (10) minutes, twenty (20) pushups in two (2) minutes, and twenty-five (25) sit-ups in two (2) minutes within one session not exceeding ninety (90) minutes
- Additional physical tasks could include dragging, carrying, lifting, and/or pulling a person to safety (140-150 pounds), 1.5 mile run or 2-mile walk, using physical force to detain a subject, and performing prolonged standing and/or sustained patrols on foot or in a vehicle
- Sustained pursuit of suspects on foot and dodging, crawling, climbing and rapid ascent of stairs
- Perform these duties while wearing heavy duty equipment and/or personal protective equipment ( PPE ) under adverse environmental conditions
