Position Title: VTC Specialist
Location: Alexandria, VA
Duration: 6-Month Contract-Hire
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced VCF Engineer (Video Teleconferencing Engineer) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of video conferencing systems and related equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of signal flow, audio and video troubleshooting, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance on conference room equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure Cisco video conferencing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Crestron control systems.
• Work with Biamp and Clearone audio processors.
• Utilize Extron products for various AV solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot signal flow issues.
• Identify and eliminate audio and video issues in conference rooms and during video conference sessions.
• Terminate a variety of network and control cables.
• Provide weekly and monthly preventive maintenance on conference room equipment.
• Interpret line and rack drawings to follow signal flow.
• Troubleshoot video conferencing systems effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with CATV plant distribution/modulation is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience with Cisco video conferencing systems.
• Strong knowledge of Crestron control systems.
• Familiarity with Biamp and Clearone audio processors.
• Experience with Extron products.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for signal flow and AV issues.
• Ability to terminate network and control cables.
• Experience in providing preventive maintenance for AV equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
