Job Title: Disaster Relief Infrastructure Support Team

Overview: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking experienced professionals to join our Disaster Relief Infrastructure Support Team. This team will be responsible for restoring and supporting critical infrastructure in areas affected by hurricanes. The project will require assembling a dedicated team of PC Technicians, Systems Administrators, and Network Engineers to ensure efficient and effective recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
PC Technicians
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Set up and support workstations for disaster relief operations.
Conduct regular maintenance to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
Systems Administrators
Manage and maintain servers and network systems.
Implement and oversee security measures to protect data and systems.
Ensure reliable operation of IT infrastructure, including backups and disaster recovery.
Monitor system performance and address any issues promptly.
Network Engineers
Design, implement, and manage network systems to support disaster relief efforts.
Establish and maintain network connectivity in affected areas.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure uninterrupted communication.
Collaborate with other IT staff to optimize network performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in relevant roles (PC Technician, Systems Administrator, Network Engineer).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with disaster recovery and emergency response protocols is a plus.
