Job Title: Hurricane Relief Call Center Representative
Duration: 3 - 6 Months
Location: 100% remote
Job Summary: FEMA is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Hurricane Relief Call Center team. As a Call Center Representative, you will provide critical support to individuals affected by hurricanes, offering information, guidance, and reassurance during their time of need.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls from hurricane survivors and provide information on available assistance programs and services.
Assist callers in completing necessary forms and applications for disaster relief.
Verify and update applicant information in FEMA’s systems.
Provide emotional support and guidance to callers, ensuring they feel heard and supported.
Coordinate with other agencies and organizations to connect callers with additional resources.
Maintain accurate records of all calls and interactions.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong empathy and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Previous experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Location: 100% remote (work from home)
Laptop, headset, mouse, ethernet cord and 2nd monitor will be provided
Must have a quiet and private workspace
Must have reliable internet access, must be hard wire connected with ethernet cord
Contract Duration: 3 months with possibility to be extended
Shift: Full time 40 hours per week (8 hour shift, 5 days per week)
Call Center is open from 7:00AM - 1AM EST Monday-Sunday.
Must be able to work any shift during those hours
You will be placed on a shift during training
Trainings take place 8:30AM-5:30PM EST, training will be 5-6 days
