This DevSecOps Developer position will contribute to the application development and pipelines component of a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing the engineering design solution that enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated virtually on the Government’s network infrastructure.
Applicants must be able to travel to the greater Salt Lake City, Utah area for one 4 day week per month
Responsibilities:
Architecting and maintaining software build, test, and deployment CI/CD pipelines
Working daily with Development teams to integrate dependencies and backend components via automated pipelines
Supporting the ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the DevSecOps tool chain
Assisting Development teams with DevSecOps issues related to performance and configuration
Troubleshooting application deployments to Kubernetes clusters
Identifying and implementing improvements to how we securely build, deploy, and monitor software projects
Required Skills/Experience:
Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent to meet DOD IAT Level II or higher
Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret
GitLab and GitLab CI/CD Pipelines, development and maintenance thereof
Conceptual understanding of containerization and Kubernetes, with a willingness to teach others
Three years experience as a software engineer (Java, Python, REST webservices, microservices) with Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps related practices including software development life cycle (SDLC)
Willingness and ability to learn in fast paced environment
BA/BS Degree (or equivalent experience)
Desired Skills/Experience
Building pipelines to deploy applications to Kubernetes clusters, familiarity with Helm and GitOps practices (Flux)
Experience with Amazon Web Services architecture and services
Docker and containerized build technologies
Experience in software development security practices (SonarQube scanning & quality gates), containerized application security vulnerability remediation best practices
