Embassy Expediter
The Contractor shall provide a Manila Embassy Expediter who is responsible for coordination with the Host Nation, U.S. Government civilian / military agencies, and various international / local shipper and brokerages for the expeditious distribution of mission essential supplies and equipment for both the Contractor and clients listed in Annex 0100000, Spec Item 1.4.1. The Manila Embassy Expediter shall identify to client logistics representatives where commitment of Government funds is required so that a Government representative may take appropriate action. The Expeditor shall be knowledgeable of air and ship cargo requirements; shipment taxation, Certificate of Guaranty, and Certificate of Tax Exemption; Surety Bonds; NATO packaging requirements; International Importing/Exporting Regulations/Clearances; Customs Clearance Regulations; and Classified Cargo handling (Certified Courier Card).
In addition, the Expeditor duties are as follows but not limited to:
1. Working with US Embassy General Services Office (GSO), initiates the preparation of a Certificate of Tax Exemption (CTE) and Certificate of Guarantee (COG) for incoming or outgoing shipments after receipt of e-mailed pre-alerts from the sender or carrier
2. Verifying correct information (consignee address, item description, ultimate consignee) on documents used; coordinating with shipper and/or carrier and rectifying errors and omissions on all shipping documents
3. Tracking the movement of shipment via carrier tracker until it clears through Philippine Bureau of Customs and released by the commercial carrier
4. Assist with reviewing airway bills for fraudulent items and shipments.
Education: It is desirable that the Manila Embassy Expediter have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or Management from a U.S. or equivalent accredited college or university or equivalent institution. It is also desirable that the Manila Embassy Expediter understands and speaks Tagalog in order to conduct their duties effectively.
Work Experience: The Manila Embassy Expediter shall have at least five (5) years of experience in multi-function base operations. Experience in a diplomatic, management or supervisory capacity in a remote / contingency location with a multi-national workforce is highly desirable.
The Manila Embassy Expediter shall maintain a secret security clearance.

- Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
- Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication and constant mental alertness.
- Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
- Position requires routine travel to site operating locations.
