This position supports the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with cutting edge modernization / development, and ongoing sustainment of a variety of GPS receivers and user equipment to meet DoD and national-level priorities.

This position supports the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with cutting edge modernization / development, and ongoing sustainment of a variety of GPS receivers and user equipment to meet DoD and national-level priorities.
In this role, you will:
- Duties include supporting identification, documentation, and implementation of acquisition and sustainment related activities to plan, develop and implement program strategies, milestone preparation and documentation of these activities in program briefs and reports.
- Support the overall project lead and provide support to Integrated Product Teams, conferences and meetings
- May require interfacing with other offices across DoD for coordination of program related activities.
- R esponsible for providing acquisition logistics services in support of the customer's mission. Services include some or all of the following:
- Translating strategic direction into acquisition logistics plans, support plans, and acquisition documentation in support of multiple GPS modernization programs
- Providing support to the generation/review of logistics documentation including the following: Life Cycle Sustainment Plans; Core Logistics Analysis; Depot Source of Repair assignment; Logistics Assessments; Product Support Business Case Analyses; Item Unique Identification Plan; Programmatic Environmental, Safety & Occupational Health Evaluation; Performance Work Statements, and work specs
- Makes recommendations related to performance enhancement, deficiency correction and adjustments to program logistics/sustainment plans that can improve material reliability, availability, maintainability, and reduce cost relative to GPS products
- Support the coordination of all integrated product support elements to ensure all such requirements for the program are identified and tailored to the GPS program needs
- Perform analyses such as Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System or Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages issues and recommend corrective measures
- Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
- Support the program office through both acquisition/sustainment phases of the life cycle.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A U.S. citizenship.
- An a ctive DoD Secret Clearance (or eligibility to obtain DoD Secret Clearance within a prescribed timeframe).
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- Ten (10) years of related acquisition logistics experience in a System Program Office supporting USAF and/or DoD programs.
- To participate in the development, coordination, execution of major program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable).
- Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in DoD 5000 series directives, AFI 63-101, and AFPAM 63-128.
- An excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- A clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition and sustainment organization.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- DAWIA Certified Level I Acquisition Logistician.
- Participation in development, coordination, execution of program milestones (A, B, or C) for ACAT I, II or III programs.
- Experience with Section 804 programs.
- Experience with GPS systems in a program management and/or logistics management capacity.
