Sentar is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst/Enterprise Monitoring & Reporting Analyst in Charleston, SC!
This position is HYBRID - could be onsite UP TO 3 days a week.
The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) Integrated Product Team (IPT) is charged with the mission of conducting Defensive Cyberspace Operations to defend subscriber networks. The DHA Cybersecurity Operations Center (CyOC) coordinates and orchestrates cybersecurity activities execution at the DoD Component scale for DHA to protect information systems against unauthorized activity, vulnerabilities, or threats.
The Defense Health Cyber Operations Center Team requires a Cybersecurity Analyst/Enterprise Monitoring & Reporting Analyst to provide key technical services and service delivery to a government client. This individual will be responsible to deliver and enhance cybersecurity efforts supporting various locations, utilizing an array of guidance, directives, documentation, reporting tools, and reporting platforms.
Role Description:
The DHA Cyber Operations Center (CyOC) ECMR Team is responsible for Directives and Issuances from JFHQ-DODIN and DHA compliance, Information Assurance and Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance, Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP) compliance, DoD Cyber Scorecard consolidation and compliance, and POA&M Coordination and submission for the Enterprise. Single point of ingress/egress for all Higher authority cyber tasking. Acknowledges, distributes, and reports compliance to all higher authority directives/taskings. Coordinates and issues DHA internal directives and tasking for Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO). Manages the asset tags in Cyber Operational Attribute Management System (COAMS) for
DHA. Manages DHAs Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) reporting program.
Perform continuous monitoring (ConMon) assessments to identify misconfigurations, compliance deviations, and risk areas.
Track, analyze, and report on IAVM compliance, POA&Ms, and system risk ratings for DHA networks and Med-COI assets.
Assess DHAs cyber exposure, identifying high-risk vulnerabilities and prioritizing remediation efforts based on DoD risk scoring frameworks (CMRS, VRAM, NIST 800-40).
Facilitate incident documentation and escalation procedures, ensuring compliance with JFHQ-DoDIN and USCYBERCOM reporting requirements.
Coordinate remediation actions with affected system owners, ensuring adherence to DoD incident handling and mitigation protocols.
Develop and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly cybersecurity risk reports to DHA leadership and interagency partners.
Track and report cyber compliance metrics, ensuring alignment with DoD directives, DISA CCRI requirements, and JFHQ-DoDIN scoring.
Maintain and enhance automated compliance dashboards, integrating ConMon, IAVM, VDP, and Cyber Scorecard management metrics.
Serve as a liaison between CyOC, USCYBERCOM, JFHQ-DoDIN, and VA CSOC to share real-time cyber event data and intelligence.
Manage the flow and lifecycle of cybersecurity advisories, alerts, and tactical orders, ensuring DHA stakeholders receive timely updates.
Support cross-functional collaboration between vulnerability management, SIEM analysts, threat hunters, and incident response teams.
Qualifications:
Clearance Level: Secret
Education: Min Technical Degree and 6 years of experience or 10 years without a degree
Certifications: IAT II
Required Skills
10+ years of technical experience or a Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of technical experience.
DoD 8140 compliant IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, Security+ CE, CISSP, etc.)
Experience with continuous monitoring (ConMon), vulnerability management, and risk assessment frameworks (IAVM, CMRS, VRAM, NIST 800-40, RMF).
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and respond to change quickly.
Experience evaluating deficiencies and obstacles to achieving the organizations mission.
Must possess strong verbal/written communications and interpersonal skills.
Ability to convey technical concepts to audiences with varying technical understanding
The ability to solve problems independently or with minimal assistance by applying logical and analytical thinking capabilities.
Possess a strong understanding of common enterprise technologies.
Read, understand and comply with policy and procedures.
Proficient with desktop programs such as Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio and experience using MS OneDrive and MS Teams.
Desired Skills
Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira,etc.) and web-based collaboration platforms (MS Teams, Confluence, and MS SharePoint).
Familiarity with various Host-Based Tools (Trellix, MDE) and ability to navigate monitoring tools and interfaces (e.g., Splunk, Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator).
Understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including DoDI 8530.01, NIST 800-53, and JFHQ-DoDIN incident response protocols.
Fundamental knowledge of network operations, hardware, and protocols.
Basic knowledge of IP management, computer networking, and sub-netting.
Foundational understanding of commercial cloud service providers.
Experience managing & prioritizing tasks to meet short suspense deadlines.
Possess exceptional attention to detail and Ability to provide thought leadership and maximize organizational cybersecurity program efforts.
Ability to work independently or contribute collaboratively with diverse internal and external teams in a remote/hybrid environment.
Familiarity with additional enterprise tools (Splunk, ACAS, Armis, ESS, Trellix, Xpanse, MECM, or similar platforms).
