Your duties will be in support of a federal client in developing, operating , maintaining, and enhancing their suite of cybersecurity solutions . The solution s provided enable timel y incident response, threat detection, and event monitoring. The selected candidate will be responsible fo r creating new applications, algorithms, and optimize workflows and improved data analytics. This includes defining requirements for technical solutions, conducting research and deploying emerging technology, and enhancing the overall solution portfoli o .

Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
- Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
- Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.
- Coordinate with Cyber Defense Analysts to manage and administer the updating of rules and signatures for specialized cyber defense applications.
- Perform system administration on specialized cyber defense applications and systems and Virtual Private Network (VPN) devices, to include installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration.
- Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and key resources.
- Building, installing, configuring, and testing dedicated cyber defense hardware.
- Assist in assessing the impact of implementing and sustaining a dedicated cyber defense infrastructure.
- Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) requirements for dedicated cyber defense systems within the enterprise, and document and maintain records for them.
What You Will Need :
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.
- EIGHT (8) or more years of experience in Information Technology and/or cybersecurity
- Experience with Linux based environment administra ti on
- Experience tes ti ng, implemen ti ng, deploying, maintaining , and administering infrastructure hardware and so ft ware for cybersecurity.
- Experience developing, crea ti ng, modifying , and maintaining computer applica ti ons, so ft ware, or specialized u ti lity programs for cybersecurity.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
- TEN (10) or more years of experience in Information Technology and/or cybersecurity
- Preferred Certifications :
- Red Hat Certi fied Systems Administrator (RHCSA )
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- AWS Certi fied DevOps Engineer Associate - Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks.
- Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and python.
