THE WORK
Lockheed Martin RMS is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with hands-on experience in the Unity game engine to join our team supporting the development of Virtual Maintenance Trainers (VMTs) and simulation-based training applications. You'll help build immersive, interactive software that supports real-world operator and maintainer training for complex systems.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for real-time 3D development, a solid foundation in C# and .NET programming, and experience building applications in Unity. This role also requires the ability to maintain and troubleshoot existing software products.
We are committed to work life balance by promoting this HYBRID TELEWORK opportunity. These job requirements allow the employee to work at a Lockheed Martin-designated office or job site for part of their schedule and has a predefined regular, recurring telework schedule for the remaining part of their work schedule.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 2+ years of experience developing in Unity with C#
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex software systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience building VR/AR applications
- Understanding of Unity performance profiling and optimization techniques
- Exposure to or experience with military training systems or publications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
- Knowledge of real-time communication protocols (e.g. SignalR, WebRTC)
- Knowledge of network protocols (e.g. HTTP, FTP)

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
