Raytheon has an exciting opening for a Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting the Loitering Coyote ® family of effectors within the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This position reports to the Sr. Contract Manager that oversees the Maneuvers Portfolio within Precision Fires and Maneuvers. This portfolio is a growth engine for Raytheon's LADS SBU.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

What You Will Do
- Work cradle to grave contracting for both DOD and Non-DOD customers.
- Work the entire contract life-cycle from proposal to negotiations to execution and close-out
- Guide team regarding application of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements/compliance
- Discuss contractual terms and conditions, including R&O, with the proposal team and key stakeholders during contracts start-up and throughout the contract's life cycle, including closeout as well as identify commitment and/or contractual requirement issues and support financial forecasting process to include analysis and recommendations on awards, sales, operating margin, and cash
- Ensure compliance, review, and delivery of the compliant/fully approved proposal/offer
- Work closely with functional customers to ensure alignment with scope of work and contractual terms and conditions ensuring that all contracts requirements are met throughout the execution of the program
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience with one or more of the following: contracts management/administration, program management, project management or supply chain
Qualifications We Prefer
- Uses strong knowledge of DoD acquisition life cycle, acquisition policies and regulations under DFAR
- Works confidently and independently with internal and external partners
- Communicates with clarity using simple language and sticks to concrete, specific information
- Demonstrates an understanding of proposal methodologies and financial metrics, including the financial implications that the decisions have on the company (e.g., relationship of risks, opportunities, and profit margin)
- Provides resolution of routine business or technical issues by identifying solutions and recommending a course of action
