Job Title: Personal Care Assistant

Location HQ: Broomall, PA

Regions Served:
  • Marple Region, Aston Region, and Montgomery County Region

Working Hours: Start times range from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM; typical workday ends around 3:00 PM.

Program Overview:

This school serves children with special needs from ages 3 to kindergarten. Early support helps address developmental delays and promotes overall growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Support: Assist teachers in executing lesson plans for special needs students.
  • Behavior Management: Implement behavior plans and foster social skill development.
  • Academic Guidance: Provide individualized or group academic assistance.
  • Personal Care: Help with feeding, toileting, positioning, and monitoring health conditions.
  • Crisis Support: De-escalate crises and provide immediate assistance.
  • Compliance: Adhere to FERPA and applicable regulations while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside instructors, therapists, and counselors to meet student goals.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance (Issued within 12 months).
  • FBI Criminal Background Check and Fingerprints (Issued within 12 months).
  • PA Criminal History Check (Issued within 12 months).
  • TB Test (Issued within 3 months).
  • Mandated Reporter Certification (Valid for 5 years).
  • CPR/First Aid Certification with hands-on component (Valid for 2 years).
  • Act 82 Arrest/Conviction Report.
