Koniag Data Solutions (KDS) is seeking a senior-level Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize complex system solutions for our federal government clients. - Design and implement enterprise system solutions
- Develop system architecture and integration strategies
- Lead technical planning and project execution
- Perform systems analysis and optimization
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Implement automated deployment solutions
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Develop technical specifications and requirements
- Evaluate new technologies and solutions
- Manage system lifecycle processes
- Ensure system security and compliance
- Lead technical problem resolution
- Mentor junior engineering staff
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders
- Support disaster recovery planning
Requirements:
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with enterprise systems
- Strong technical leadership background
- Experience with automation tools
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles
- Experience with enterprise architecture
- Proficiency in system design and implementation
- Knowledge of cloud technologies
- Understanding of security frameworks
- Experience with automation and orchestration
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellence in technical documentation
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Project management capabilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with system integration
- Understanding of IT service management
- Excellence in stakeholder communication
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Master's degree in related field
- Professional certifications (CISSP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with classified systems
- Knowledge of government systems
- Understanding of containerization
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence/machine learning
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
- Experience with system optimization
- Background in performance engineering
- Knowledge of federal security requirements
- Previous military or government service
- Experience with high-availability systems
- Understanding of zero trust architecture
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks
- Experience with enterprise applications
- Familiarity with emerging technologies
