This role is crucial in protecting and securing our federal government clients' critical systems and data. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents
- Perform security architecture reviews and risk assessments
- Develop and maintain security documentation and procedures
- Configure and manage security tools and technologies
- Participate in security audits and assessments
- Implement automated security solutions
- Provide technical guidance on security matters to project teams
- Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
- Conduct security training for staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience with security tools and technologies
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
- Proficiency in network security and firewall administration
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, RMF, FISMA)
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes
- Understanding of cloud security principles
- Strong incident response capabilities
- Knowledge of security compliance requirements
- Experience with security automation tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Additional certifications (CISSP, CEH, CISM, GCIH)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
- Experience with containerization security
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with IDS/IPS systems
- Knowledge of PKI and encryption technologies
- Experience working in classified environments
- Background in threat hunting and forensics
- Understanding of zero trust architecture
- Previous military or government service
- Experience with classified program security requirements
