Government Acquisitions Inc. (GAI) - is seeking a Full-time Systems Admin (DevOps) who will work as part of our team. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of our systems, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with our development team to ensure seamless integration of new systems and applications and contribute to the development and maintenance of custom solutions within the Business Central environment. Your goal will be to ensure that our end users can use the corporate technology and infrastructure as efficiently as possible, while maintaining data integrity and security.

Your goal will be to ensure that our end users can use the corporate technology and infrastructure as efficiently as possible, while maintaining data integrity and security.
Job Description & Work Responsibilities (Tasks include but are not limited to the following):
- Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions using cloud services.
- Manage server hardware, operating systems, network devices, and security measures.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor and maintain our systems, including servers, databases, and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Implement monitoring tools and alerts for critical systems and applications.
- Development Support:
- Provide technical support for business applications developed in C#.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth integration of new systems, applications, features, and updates.
- Business Central Development:
- Learn and adopt Business Central Development to enhance our business processes and automate workflows.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of custom solutions within the Business Central environment.
- Documentation and Training:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all infrastructure components and processes.
- Provide training to other team members on best practices in DevOps and technical skills.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- User Support:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Provide help desk services as a first point of contact.
- Collaborate with internal teams or vendors to execute projects.
- Administer Office/Microsoft 365 and multi-factor authentication.
- Assist with compliance efforts for ISO, CMMC, NIST 800-171, and O-TTPS where necessary.
- Protect data, software, and hardware by utilizing network security measures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- The ability to monitor and maintain systems, including servers, databases, and applications.
- Experience with cloud-based systems and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and tools.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple system issues simultaneously.
- Experience with system patching and updates, including configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with security best practices and incident response procedures.
Education:
- Associate degree in computer science or similar technical field with at least two years' experience or a combination of coursework in Computer Science (or related area) and End User Support.
Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite; development in Excel and Power BI is a bonus.
- 2+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong development background in C#, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with cloud-based systems and technologies; Linux systems management is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field.
