MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is seeking a highly motivated Documentation Specialist/Technical Writer to support the U.S. Postal Service Engineering Department at its headquarters in Merrifield, VA. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and technical teams to develop clear, concise, and accurate documentation that supports critical operations and engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project and program managers to gather information and create critical documents, including:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Installation instructions
- Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Guidance policies and more
- Document program management processes and create detailed presentations.
- Prepare, review and edit software release documentation including software requirements specifications, software design documentation, and requirements traceability matrixes
- Develop project schedules
- Consolidate cost estimates into a standard template for business cases to justify project investments
- Support engineering departments with equipment evaluations, field tests, and deployment procedures
- Provide technical and procedural guidance to ensure smooth project execution
- Prepare professional reports, letters, and summaries detailing program management activities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a relevant field) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in technical writing and editing
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project, and Visio)
- Expertise in documenting standards, specifications, manuals, and reports
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
