Ballistic Digital has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Manager to support a government program in Williamsburg, VA.
The Lab Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the learning lab environment.
Security clearance:
• Secret clearance with TS eligibility.
What we need from you:
• Managing equipment inventory, ensuring systems are kept up to date, and de-conflicting the scheduling of maintenance and learning activities.
• Tracking usage metrics of the lab.
• Addressing any facility-related issues (such as leaks, power outages, infrastructure failures, structural damage) with appropriate Government points of contact.
• Configuring the lab space with appropriate equipment and materials for various learning activities.
• Supporting Government instructors and assisting lab users as needed with learning, including troubleshooting any access, networking, or equipment issues.
• Providing input into design of learning activities utilizing the lab, including making recommendations on optimal equipment, data, and other resources for the activities.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to Government guidelines and learning objectives.
• Troubleshooting and managing a variety of unclassified computing networks and standalone computing systems as well as XR-related equipment, including complex systems involving an array of user-worn sensors and displays, environmental inputs for mixed reality, wireless communications, and server management.
• Working with team to ensure lab is covered.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years professional experience as a project manager, commiserate with the scope of the lab's activities.
• Minimum of five (5) years hands-on working expertise in operating and maintaining IT systems within the last ten years, to include computer networking, to support troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working in a dynamic environment and handling multiple technical and administrative tasks.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude, sound judgment, and solid situational awareness.
• Demonstrate a passion for learning and applying new skills to support integration of new technologies.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
