We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in cloud deployments and either experience with on-premises environments or a willingness to learn. In this role, you’ll design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure across both cloud and air-gapped systems. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance. We use Pulumi for infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
• Cloud Architecture & Design: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure in cloud platforms like AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• On-Premise Infrastructure: Support infrastructure in air-gapped, on-premises environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate provisioning and configuration using Pulumi (primary tool), with experience in Terraform or similar tools a plus.
• Container Management: Manage and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices for IAM, network security, and regulatory compliance.
• Performance Monitoring: Optimize performance and cost; handle capacity planning.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Set up monitoring and alerts; participate in on-call rotations.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with DevOps, development, and security teams to ensure cohesive infrastructure solutions.
• Documentation & Mentorship: Maintain infrastructure documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
• Security Clearance: Active TS or TS/SCI preferred; must be willing to undergo sponsorship for a TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience: 3+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering or a similar role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Cloud Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure.
• IaC Proficiency: Skilled with Pulumi (preferred), Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Scripting: Proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Networking: Solid understanding of VPNs, VPCs, and core networking protocols in cloud environments.
• Security: Familiar with IAM, cloud security best practices, and compliance standards.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Certifications (Preferred): AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
Additional Experience (not required but preferred):
• Experience managing on-prem virtualization stacks.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like GitHub Actions.
• Experience managing databases in cloud and/or on-prem environments.
