Data Architect

Graham Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing complex data solutions. This role will play a critical part in leading the development of enterprise data architectures and shaping long-term strategies that support our mission-critical initiatives.

Location : Remote work but needs to be close to Clarksburg, WV (must be within proximity for on-site meetings)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative solutions to manage and analyze complex data sets.
• Lead the creation of enterprise data architectures aligned with business strategies.
• Develop high-level conceptual and logical data models across systems and functions.
• Establish and manage metadata governance processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Provide technical leadership to system and cross-functional teams.
• Design and build both relational and non-relational databases.
• Translate evolving business needs into scalable, long-term data architecture solutions.
• Review data models and metadata repositories to optimize data access and management.

Required Skills:

• A bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must have an active Secret Clearance
• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data mesh frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage, processing, and analytics.
• 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams.
• Proven expertise in both relational and non-relational database
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with metadata management tools and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with data modeling tools and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Knowledge of federal data security standards and compliance.
