Purpose/Scope:
Amentum is seeking an Immigration Services SME / Project Lead to serve as a senior technical advisor and project management expert supporting Homeland Security operations with particular focus on immigration initiatives. This position provides leadership in planning, execution, and evaluation of complex, multi-disciplinary projects that advance the agency's Homeland Security mission. The incumbent will leverage specialized expertise in law enforcement operations, project management methodologies, and analytical problem-solving to drive successful outcomes across organizational boundaries and stakeholders.
The position is REMOTE with strong preference for candidates around the NCR.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment of complex Homeland Security projects, ensuring execution within established standards.
- Define, acquire, and allocate resources (budget, staff, equipment) necessary to accomplish mission objectives while monitoring fiscal responsibility throughout project lifecycles.
- Create comprehensive reports highlighting trends and projections to support informed decision-making and communicate status, risks, and accomplishments to all stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on solutions to complex problems during project implementation, developing alternative approaches to planning, design, and engineering challenges.
- Troubleshoot complex, multi-year project schedules and conduct technical reviews to verify objectives are being met across project portfolios.
- Participate in planning and executing organizational goals utilizing strategic planning principles while translating directives into actionable implementation plans.
- Identify problem areas within Homeland Security operations and develop new policies and procedures for resolution, applying sound management principles under challenging conditions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies for potential application to Homeland Security challenges.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal organizational units and external stakeholders including other Government entities.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration
- May supervise other Amentum personnel
Minimum Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Must be able to pass DHS entry on duty (EOD) requirements to start and maintain Public Trust suitability status
- Master's and/or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Operations Research Analysis, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field and 12+ years of experience
- Demonstrated experience working with Law Enforcement Agencies
- Proven record of successfully leading and managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience developing and implementing project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-year project schedules
- Experience creating project reports and monitoring budgeting processes throughout project life cycles
- Background in developing alternative solutions to planning, design, and engineering issues
- Experience conducting technical reviews of planning products
- Position will require occasional travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Public Trust designation
- Active security clearance
- Specific experience in immigration law enforcement
