The role involves providing essential health care, administering medications, and addressing any health-related needs that arise while accompanying students and staff on their excursions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel with students and staff
- Administer medications and provide general nursing care throughout the field trips.
- Monitor student health and respond to any medical concerns or emergencies.
- Collaborate with classroom staff to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and follow IU13 health protocols.
- Active Pennsylvania LPN License (required)
- Current CPR Certification
- Experience in pediatric or educational settings is preferred, but not required.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for early departures are essential.
- Availability to commit to all or most of the listed field trip dates.
- Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 24)
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
- FBI Fingerprints (Act 114)
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- Mandated Reporter Training (completed within the past 5 years)
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168)
- TB Test Results (dated within the past 90 days)
