The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in routing and switching technologies, with a deep understanding of MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol) operation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Additionally, experience in Network Access Control (NAC) using the ForeScout appliance and familiarity with Cisco UC VoIP and VTC (Video Teleconferencing) solutions are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Routing & Switching:
o Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching infrastructure, including core, distribution, and access layer devices.
o Implement and optimize MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol) for enhanced network stability and redundancy.

• Network Access Control (NAC):
o Design, configure, and manage ForeScout appliances for robust Network Access Control.
o Implement and enforce network security policies by integrating NAC solutions with active directory, device profiling, and access controls.
o Perform troubleshooting and optimization of NAC systems to ensure network security compliance.

• Cisco UC VoIP & VTC:
o Provide support and troubleshooting for Cisco Unified Communications (UC) VoIP solutions.
o Assist with configuration and maintenance of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, ensuring seamless communication across multiple platforms.

• Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
o Continuously monitor network performance and security, responding to incidents or issues in a timely manner.
o Work with network monitoring tools to identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related problems.

• Collaboration & Documentation:
o Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network systems with existing IT infrastructure.
o Maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and network topology.

Qualifications:

Required:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: 7 years of experience in network support or administration.

• Certifications:
o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or equivalent Cisco certifications (e.g., CCIE).
o CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 II Security Certification.

• Technical Skills:
o Proven experience working with Cisco networking devices (routers, switches, and firewalls).
o In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with MSTP operation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
o Strong expertise in implementing and managing Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, specifically with ForeScout appliances.
o Familiarity with Cisco Unified Communications (UC) and VoIP technologies.
o Experience with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) solutions, preferably with Cisco platforms.
o Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and VLAN configurations.
o Experience in deploy and manage DNA/Catalyst Center
o Knowledge of layer2 and layer3 encryptor (TACLANE)

Desired:

• Familiarity with cloud-based communication platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with other network security tools or firewalls.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100-$172,400
