The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Virtualization Lead to serve as the primary point of contact responsible for designing, implementing and managing virtualization solutions in support of USSTRATCOM. This role involves overseeing virtualization infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and optimizing performance for mission-critical applications.
The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

This role involves overseeing virtualization infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and optimizing performance for mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities:
Virtualization Lead, SME:
- Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge in planning, engineering, installing, configuring, maintaining, operating, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing virtual desktop infrastructure and servers (C5.4.13)
- Provides Tier 3 support to members of the operations virtualization administrators
- Maintains all HW and SW components at vendor-supported levels
- Maintains expert knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN
- Supports mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP)
- Develops and/or participates in After Action Reports (AARs)
- Provides expert advice and direction regarding the management and operation of all VMware clusters in the USSTRATCOM enterprise architecture
- Evaluates current technologies and processes to identify gaps
- Provides requirements and strategies for future cybersecurity operations
- Participates in meetings with USSTRATCOM J6 and Mission Partner working groups
- Adheres to applicable DoD STIGs; DISA applicable orders; and JSIG policy, guidelines, and regulations
- Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
- May supervise others
Qualifications:
- Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in virtualization technologies are preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in virtualization technologies
- Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of start date: 451 - Advanced; FITSP-O or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training
AND
- Additional Cert: VMWare VCP certification
- Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions
- Strong leadership skills to guide a team and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
