As a Technical Insertion Engineer (TIE), you will be instrumental in supporting innovation, modernization, and process optimization at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG). You'll work side-by-side with government personnel to assess and improve industrial tools and engineering processes, ensuring AMARG remains a forward-leaning and agile aerospace maintenance and regeneration operation.

This position demands technical insight, a forward-thinking mindset, and an ability to analyze and implement cutting-edge solutions. You will research, identify, and execute technology insertion opportunities that enhance AMARG's productivity and maintainability-contributing directly to the Air Force mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Insertion & Innovation:

Serve as a technical advisor to government leadership on integrating advanced tools and technologies to improve AMARG operations.
Apply state-of-the-art industry knowledge to identify and implement innovative improvements across government industrial and engineering processes.
Research Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) technologies, support project execution, and enter data into the AFSC Technology Roadmap Tool.
Process Optimization & Strategic Analysis:

Gain familiarity with AMARG's "production machine" to identify and assess areas for process improvement.
Analyze current workflows, identify faults and constraints, and propose technological solutions to increase efficiency and output.
Work closely with government acquisitions and technical stakeholders to identify unique technology needs and opportunities.
Research & Documentation:

Conduct thorough research to evaluate emerging technologies for feasibility and benefit to AMARG's mission.
Produce clear documentation of research findings, insertion opportunities, and implementation plans.
Maintain ongoing communication with AMARG and AFSC stakeholders to track progress and integration of SBIR-related and tech modernization initiatives.
Qualifications & Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the engineering field, ideally in industrial, mechanical, or systems engineering.
Proven ability to research, analyze, and identify technological insertion opportunities and develop strategies for implementation.
Strong understanding of industrial/mechanical processes and how to diagnose faults, inefficiencies, or constraints.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Additional Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract obligations.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
On-site position at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, AZ.
