As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan AFB. You'll provide engineering involvement, technical advice, and subject matter expertise across a wide range of facility planning design, implementation, and maintenance activities.

This role requires a strong foundation in civil or facility engineering, an eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to maintain and improve mission-critical infrastructure. Your contributions will ensure AMARG's facilities are safe, functional, and fully aligned with the organization's aerospace maintenance and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Engineering & Technical Support:

Provide engineering services in alignment with AFSCMAN 21-102, local supplements, and relevant regulatory guidance.
Support the planning, execution, and oversight of facility repairs, alterations, new construction, and new equipment installations.
Draft Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS) for facility-related projects.
Provide shop layout planning, reliability management, preventive maintenance analysis, and repair assessments.
Project Oversight & Design Support:

Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in defining project and customer requirements, including specifications, tolerances, and drawings.
Participate in design reviews to ensure project accuracy, completeness, and alignment with government objectives.
Provide expert guidance during the design and construction phases of facility projects; track milestones, identify concerns, and report progress.
Execution & Innovation:

Collaborate with AMARG leadership to execute facility projects that meet production group needs.
Track and report maintenance status and cost estimates for both short- and long-term initiatives.
Identify performance gaps and recommend innovative solutions to increase AMARG's agility and support future growth.
Risk & Compliance Analysis:

Assess and report on facility deficiencies, risk assessment codes, fire safety issues, and Uniform Building Code compliance.
Troubleshoot facility-related processes and equipment to maintain adequate support of Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) workflows.
Training & Knowledge Transfer:

Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to government employees on facility engineering topics and tasks.
Support process standardization and documentation to enhance future project efficiency.
Qualifications & Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the civil engineering field, preferably supporting large-scale or government facility operations.
Demonstrated ability to assess, analyze, and recommend solutions for complex facilities and infrastructure projects.
Experience producing detailed engineering documentation, including technical instructions and statements of work.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
Additional Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract specifications.
Active Secret Clearance is required.
Ability to work on-site at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, AZ.
