Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced and driven REMOTE Senior Cloud Developer to provide expert-level support for a federal law enforcement customer’s IT systems. This remote role is based out of Clarksburg, WV and plays a critical part in modernizing infrastructure, improving data management, and enabling collaborative platforms through the use of cloud technologies, DevSecOps practices, and industry best standards. The program operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where cross-functional teams work closely with government stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, system resilience, and operational excellence in support of public safety and national security objectives.
The Cloud Developer is responsible for designing and deploying infrastructure solutions that support scalable, resilient, and secure collaborative platforms. This includes configuring cloud-native environments, implementing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and integrating DevSecOps pipelines. The Cloud Developer ensures that foundational infrastructure supports the tools and services used across the organization, enabling efficient communication and productivity in alignment with security and compliance requirements. To be considered for this position, candidates must have an active Top Secret clearance and be willing to travel once a quarter to WV.
Salary is at $142,800
Cloud Development Expertise in AWS: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS, including proficiency with AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, and AWS API Gateway.
Experience with Atlassian Infrastructure: Minimum of two (2) years' experience in configuring, customizing, and maintaining Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) on AWS infrastructure, including setup, integration, and performance optimization.
Software Development Skills: Proficiency in developing and maintaining applications, with expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js, as well as strong understanding of object-oriented design and development best practices.
DevOps and Automation: Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and version control, to manage and streamline cloud-based software development and deployment in AWS.
Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, preferred.
