IT - QA and Test
Colo Spgs, CO (On-Site/Office)
SALARY: $145,000 - $180,000
JOB SUMMARY: Develop and apply mathematical and statistical modeling techniques as well as other methods to develop and interpret information that assists squadron leadership with decision-making and/or other operational test related analysis functions. May help develop related software tools/products and reviews/develops robust test analysis designs to ensure coverage of the test space and assess system effectiveness and suitability. Frequently concentrates on collecting and analyzing data as well as defining data requirements to report results properly and comprehensively to various customers and review the work of other unit test analysts. Involved in identifying indications of system performance, corrective measures that need to be taken, and how to report them through squadron processes. May create, conduct, design and evaluate experimental operational models where insufficient data exists to formulate results with the given information. Knowledge of calculus and statistics (to include Design of Experiments and Combinatorial Testing). Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Use Scientific Test and Analysis Techniques to build a viable test design with sufficient power to test space assets.
Apply statistical analysis methods to characterize and rate collected test data (e.g., hypotheses testing, t-tests, regression testing, factor analysis, statistical process control).
Build test scope using Critical Operational Issues, Operational Capabilities, Measures of Effectiveness and Suitability, and Measures of Performance.
Develop test approach with the purpose of performing statistical analysis to evaluate system performance. Test approach may include the inclusion of scenario injection, Model & Simulation, or real-world system operations.
Direct data collection activities and verify all required test objectives are complete.
Process and evaluate collected test data using MATLAB and JMP software and assess system performance.
Use statistical analysis methods to characterize data determine data trends (e.g., distribution type, outliers, variability, correlation, etc.).
Write technical reports to accurately describe problems encountered during testing, analysis techniques, and ratings for all measures.
Support the development and coordination of test reporting documents and test report briefings; present the evaluation results to the 17 TS for review; and ensure all documents and briefings comply with AFI and AFSPCI 99 103 direction.
Assist other Test Analysts by reviewing and providing comment to test design and evaluating test requirement to determine desired and required sample size to determine test duration.
Assist other Test Analysts with post-test data analysis by ensuring proper analysis techniques are applied.
Assist Government Chief Analyst with establishing uniform analysis methods and document procedures that will be applied organizationally.
