Tier 3 Network Engineer
We're seeking a Network Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to deliver Tier 3 sustainment support for a mission-critical IP voice transport network at Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain enterprise network optimizations using industry best practices.
- Handle escalated Tier 3 network and security support issues.
- Conduct independent network assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop innovative solutions.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures, including Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs).
- Oversee network monitoring, capacity planning, backups, and recovery processes.
- Review ACAS scanning reports and collaborate with program ISSM/ISSO to address findings
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Security+ 8570 certification.
- Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 10-13 years of experience (or equivalent work experience at Hiring Manager's discretion).
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering and troubleshooting, including proficiency in MPLS, VPNs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), switching protocols (Spanning Tree, VLANs, LLDP), VoIP, Multicast protocols, and emerging technologies.
