Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Monitoring Engineer to join a Federal Program located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Network Monitoring Engineer will provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.
Responsibilities of the Network Monitoring Engineer:
Qualifications of the Senior Cloud Engineer:
Four (4) or more years of experience in the following:
o Cisco ASA
o Cisco FirePOWER
o Cisco Catalyst
o Cisco Nexus
o Avaya PoE Switches
o F5 LTM and GTM load balancers
o KEMP load balancers
o Juniper SRX firewall
o Extreme Network IPS
o ION SAL Modem SA5610
o Raritan Secure Console Server
o Avocent KVM Switch
o RedSeal Appliance SYS ‐ 1027R ‐ WRF4+
o SafeNet 7000
o Avaya Media Gateway G450
o IBM DataPower XML Firewall
o SolarWinds - NPM, SAM, IPAM, Netflow
Compensation for the Senior Cloud Engineer:
Responsibilities of the Network Monitoring Engineer:
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues using firewall logs, switch packet capture tools; engaging with cross-functional teams to leverage support and collaboration when necessary
- Conduct network capacity planning and bandwidth management to accommodate future growth and changing business needs.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate network infrastructure with cloud services, storage systems, and other IT components
- Maintain documentation related to network configurations, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Qualifications of the Senior Cloud Engineer:
- 7 + years of experience in a Network Monitoring role or related
- Active Secret Clearance
- Due to federal requirements, all candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship to another country
- Ability to go onsite an a government facility

Compensation for the Senior Cloud Engineer:
- Salary Range: $120,000+ *flexible based on experience*
