Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join a Federal Program located in Annapolis Junction, MD . The Platform Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of several platforms supporting multiple applications.
Responsibilities of the Platform Infrastructure Engineer include:
· Monitor and enhance system performance, implementing corrective measures on existing platforms.
· Manage and maintain application integration using current networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
· Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
· Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures.
· Create and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline platform deployments, provisioning, and management tasks.
· Deploy and manage machines using VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT.
· Configure and manage host-based security systems.
· Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools, supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers.
· Employ monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds.
· Patch and manage systems using Red Hat Satellite Server.
· Provide hardware support for servers and workstations.
· Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to manage, secure, and maintain the environment/platform infrastructure is a bonus, but not required.
Qualifications for the Platform Infrastructure Engineer include:
· 7+ years of experience in related field
· 4+ years of experience working with OpenShift
· Must have Secret Clearance
· Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required
· Must be able to commute to the facility in Annapolis Junction, MD
Compensation for the Platform Infrastructure Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
· Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
