Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Database Designer to join a Federal Program located in Norfolk, VA . The Database Developer will support the Department of Defense by developing and maintaining the SIPR NIODB, associated applications, and data products. This role involves utilizing SQL, PL/SQL, MVC, and Blazor to build software and database solutions backed by an Oracle Enterprise RDBMS.

Qualifications for the Database Designer include:
· 3+ years demonstrated experience in the field of software development with preferred prior performance in Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) development, Simple Query Language (SQL), development/maintenance
· Must possess DOD 8570 CSWF certification: Security+ CE
· Must be able to attain a MS .NET Framework certification within 6 months
· Must have an Active TS/SCI Clearance
Compensation for the Database Designer includes:
· Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
· Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays

Responsibilities of the Database Designer include:
- Support for current programming languages (e.g., C#, JQuery, JavaScript, JSON, Python) and the proposal of new technologies based on industry trends.
- Conversion of existing data elements to align with customer Database Design Description (DBDD) and Entity Relation Diagrams (ERDs) to ensure complete and accurate data fills of the product.
- Maintenance, security, and documentation of existing and newly developed software code.
- Liaison with National and Service Organizations to integrate new database formats into the Navy's authoritative database.
- Testing, verification, and validation of data products and data management applications.
- Development of Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) and related documentation to support Fleet requirements and related IO capabilities.
- Utilization of Azure DevOps to manage Kanban boards, repositories, testing, and pipelines in two-week sprints.
