Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver academic, behavioral, and personal care support to assigned students.
- Assist with implementing behavior intervention plans and crisis de-escalation strategies.
- Gather and report data on student behavior and academic progress.
- Support students with daily activities such as eating, hygiene, and mobility.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and counselors.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights.
- Uphold professionalism in adherence to organizational policies, including dress code and conduct guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Paraprofessional qualification or willingness to achieve this status.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Prior experience as a PCA, Paraprofessional, or Paraeducator preferred.
Required Clearances & Certifications: The following must be submitted prior to the start date:
- PA Child Abuse Clearance (valid within 2 years)
- FBI Criminal Fingerprint Clearance (valid within 2 years)
- PA State Police Clearance (valid within 2 years)
- Mandated Reporter Training Certification (valid within 5 years)
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Act 82 Arrest/Conviction Report & Certification Form
- Act 168 Form (to be completed prior to submission)
Additional requirements to be completed within 30 days of employment:
- TB Test (valid within 3 months)
- Physical examination or authorized medical documentation (valid within 1 year)
