Data Engineer

Kavaliro is seeking a Data Engineer to support a client in Virginia.

Job Description:
Kavaliro is seeking a dedicated Data Engineer/Developer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be experienced in programming, data manipulation, and modeling in support of mission-critical operations.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: - ECL - SQL - Python/Spark - Java Experience working with highly structured data (e.g., SQL tables)
• Ability to manipulate and join data across multiple tables and sources
• Strong understanding of data types and how they relate across datasets
• Experience in data modeling to support mission requirements
• Willingness to explore and analyze data thoroughly to understand: - Data quality - Data interconnectivity - Usability across various mission needs

Desired Skills:

• Mission-focused mindset with a desire to align data engineering efforts to operational goals
• Familiarity with data architecture or engineering best practices
• Experience working in secure or government environments (if applicable)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Location:

• McLean, VA
• This position is onsite and there is no remote availability

Clearance Requirement:

• Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
