We are looking for a Senior. Infrastructure Engineer / JIRA Administrator for our environments; a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The skills for this need will include project management, workflow configuration, and troubleshooting issues within the JIRA platform.
This role requires a deep understanding of JIRA's functionality, including project setup, workflow configuration, user permissions, and report generation. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced JIRA Administrator with a proven track record of successfully administering and supporting JIRA instances within a complex software development environment.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What You Will Do
- You will leverage company and industry best practices to configure and maintain the JIRA instance, including project creation, workflow customization, and user permissions.
- You will manage JIRA system access across groups to ensure security compliance and maintain best practices
- You will support the project by applying Agile and Kanban methodologies within JIRA and support the team's project management processes.
- You will customize JIRA workflows, configure notifications, and implement automation products to optimize processes.
- You will generate reports and dashboards to track project progress, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and 3-5 years of related work experience
- Thorough background in on premise infrastructure design data center systems
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues
- Experience with RHEL 6.0+ infrastructure development, implementation, and optimization for an enterprise Design
- Current Top Secret / SCI security clearance is required day 1. As only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in RHEL Platforms and software product implementation
- Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps developments
- Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)
- Experience with the Agile development lifecycle
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite
- Experience with SAFe agile processes
- Knowledge of Enterprise Application development and deployment processes
- Security+ certification
- Experience in supporting the Atlassian toolset from a stability and performance perspective.
- JIRA Administrator certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator) is highly desired for this role
