Description:You will be the Senior Production Engineering Manager for the Dallas Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) Site Production Engineering Organization. Our team is responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and execution of production engineering, ensuring seamless operations and driving business growth.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Senior Production Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 75 employees, including manufacturing engineers, industrial engineers, and robotics and automation engineers, to develop and improve processes, maintain production schedules, and ensure safety and environmental policies are followed. You will work closely with MFC Production Operations LOB Directors and Managers to drive technical strategic planning, site manufacturing space planning, and business and digital transformations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and executing the technical strategic plan and site manufacturing space plan
Leading a team of engineers to improve processes, maintain production schedules, and ensure safety and environmental policies are followed
Collaborating with MFC Production Operations LOB Directors and Managers to drive business growth and digital transformations
Overseeing the development and execution of production engineering strategies to support Mechanical and Electrical shops in Dallas

Basic Qualifications:
-Ability to obtain a secret clearance
-Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or an equivalent combination experience and education
-Demonstrated skills for managing recurring and non-recurring Manufacturing Engineering activities and personnel, including proposal activities, to meet yield, schedule, and cost commitments
-Demonstrated skills to drive savings in production environments by implementing initiatives that drive continuous yield and quality improvements, cost step-downs, process capability improvements, and schedule achievement, and to drive improvements to the business and transactional processes used to execute recurring and non-recurring support
-Demonstrated strong team and strategic leadership skills
-Demonstrated an ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business and across a variety of functions
-Demonstrated the ability to coach team, resulting in overall team growth and performance improvements
-Experience with personnel training and upskilling
Desired Skills:
-Experience developing and implementing technical and business roadmaps
-Experience with make/buy analysis
-Experience with business case development and the justification of manpower, capital, and strategic investments
-Experience driving the execution of manufacturing focused research and development projects
-Demonstrated skills to build, manage, motivate, and collaborate with high-performance problem-solving teams
Skills and deep understanding of lean/six sigma tools, MRP and MES systems, quality management systems, and work instruction control systems
-Depth and breadth in skills and/or experience across multiple disciplines of manufacturing related to the production of MFC products
-Experience with developing root cause and corrective action plans for non-conformances
-Project management experience
-Capital project planning and execution experience
-Factory space planning experience
-Experience with a represented workforce, regulatory ------Environmental Safety and Health, and DCMA procedures
-Demonstrated continuing, ongoing awareness of related new technologies and their potential impact to the business
-M.S. in a relevant engineering discipline
