About the Role:
As the Lead Behavioral Health Specialist, you will provide trauma-informed care, professional guidance, and programmatic support to ensure the well-being of children in DHS care. You will serve as the primary point of contact for CBP leadership, manage a team of Child Well-Being Specialists, and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance child protection services.

About the Role:
As the Lead Behavioral Health Specialist, you will provide trauma-informed care, professional guidance, and programmatic support to ensure the well-being of children in DHS care. You will serve as the primary point of contact for CBP leadership, manage a team of Child Well-Being Specialists, and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance child protection services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and professional guidance to Child Well-Being Specialists.
- Serve as the primary liaison between CBP leadership, DHS headquarters, and program teams.
- Support decision-making for child well-being concerns, including special case advising.
- Coordinate staffing allocation and surge deployment as necessary.
- Engage with local, state, and federal agencies to facilitate care coordination.
- Oversee training, performance reviews, and program evaluations.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives and policy development.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in behavioral health.
- Full, current, and unrestricted license in one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- 5+ years post-licensure experience in child development, trauma-informed care, and clinical evaluations.
- 2+ years of management experience supervising staff in a healthcare or social services setting.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred (minimum ILR 3/5 or equivalent).
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving program needs.
